2020 World Press Photo Exhibition in Auckland- CANCELLED
The World Press Photo Exhibition Auckland, due to take place in July 2020, has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 virus. This travelling exhibition, unique in its kind, is the result of a worldwide annual contest on press photography and is brought to Auckland by the The Rotary Club of Auckland.
2020 Photo Contest
Since 1955 the World Press Photo Contest has recognised professional photographers for the best photos- presented as singles or in stories contributing to the past year of visual journalism.
For its 63rd edition, the annual World Press Photo Contest saw 4,282 photographers from 125 countires enter 73,996 images.
The nominees are 44 photographers from 24 counties: Algeria, Australia, Belarus, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Ethiopia, Grance, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Mexico, Poland, Peru, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom and United States.
